La pimpinella anisum, comunemente conosciuta come anice, è una delle spezie più antiche e diffusa in tutto il mondo. Già utilizzata dagli Egizi, Greci e Romani. Ha un sapore simile a quello dei semi di finocchio, ma con sentori di menta. È utilizzata in medicina, farmacia ed enogastronomia per cibi, vini e liquori.
